Dr. Jane Howard, Ph.D., BCBA

Clinical Advisor

Jane Howard, Ph.D., BCBA, is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D®) and a licensed psychologist. She is the Co-Founder of Therapeutic Pathways and Senior Advisor to Blue Sprig Pediatrics and Trumpet Behavioral Health. Dr. Howard is the lead author of several widely cited outcome studies regarding treatment outcomes for individuals with autism. She serves on the Board of the Council of Autism Service Providers and is a member of the Advisory Board for the National Autism Law Center. In addition, Dr. Howard is the Past President of the Board of Directors for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Dr. Howard is also a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at California State University, Stanislaus, where she spent decades training graduate students in behavior analysis and clinical psychology. In that capacity, she published multiple research papers examining various intervention strategies to support independence in individuals with developmental delays. Dr. Howard also established several university-affiliated community programs to improve access to services for individuals with learning disabilities and cognitive impairments. These various roles reflect Dr. Howard’s long-standing commitment and passion for developing the clinical infrastructures needed to support access to high-quality care by those who need services.

Dr. Candice Allen, M.D.

Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician

Dr. Allen is a full time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician who has more than a decade of experience serving children who have a variety of developmental and behavioral needs. Prior to starting her own practice, Created to Thrive, Dr. Allen worked as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and served as the only Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician (DBP) at Texas Children’s Hospital in the Woodlands, TX.

Her extensive work in the field is highlighted by her numerous contributions to both academic literature and clinical practice. Dr. Allen has co-authored several research papers and presented her findings at prominent conferences, showcasing her commitment to advancing pediatric care. Her work includes exploring complex cases in pediatric development and examining the implications of new disease genes. In addition to her research, Dr. Allen has been actively involved in reviewing clinical practice guidelines and educating future generations of healthcare professionals. Her efforts reflect a deep passion for improving the lives of children and supporting their developmental journeys.

Dr. Michael R. Cummings, M.D.

Medical Director of the University run APIC Program

As one of the leading practitioners in the child and adolescent psychiatry space, Dr. Cummings has impacted many roles and institutions in his storied 17+ year career. In that time, he has developed a keen focus and dedication to those affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities, solving incredible challenges faced by individuals on the autism spectrum, and their families. He is passionate about developing and integrating systems of care, especially for individuals who are at high risk of avoidable hospitalization or incarceration. Dr. Michael Cummings holds multiple esteemed roles in the mental health industry locally and across the state with institutions such as University at Buffalo, Erie County Medical Center (ECMC), OLV Human Services, and NYSTART.

Janell Van Cleve, M.S. Ed., CAS

Clinical Director of the University run APIC Program

Janell Van Cleve is the Clinical Director of the University run APIC Program (Access to Psychiatry through Intermediate Care), where she supports the Medical Director in providing care to developmentally disabled individuals with a specialty in the autistic spectrum. Through APIC she has helped to create an innovative and unique model of mobile care to treat a vulnerable and highly overlooked population, and has provided direct clinical care to 1,600+ patients across New York State. She supports further impact in the industry through national consultation and training of mental health professionals, delivering clinical oversight to multiple staff and interns, and has helped acquire sustainable funding for APIC.

Andi Brennan, PhD., LMFT, BCBA, CCTP

Vice President of Clinical Services

As Vice President of Clinical Services of BlueSprig, Andi Brennan is responsible for supporting clinical initiatives and the quality of clinical services we provide to our families. Andi relies on her 20 years of leadership and ABA knowledge to support and guide our clinical teams.

Andi received her doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychology from Northcentral University. Prior to joining BlueSprig, Andi worked at another ABA agency industry for almost thirteen years. She began her ABA journey providing 1:1 services to clients while completing her master’s in counseling and ABA coursework, working her way into leadership. Having experience providing ABA from all levels has helped Andi develop a deep appreciation for all individuals on a client’s treatment team, value perspectives, and collaboration with interdisciplinary providers through coordination of care.

Located in Orange County, California, Andi is passionate about leadership, mentoring, family systems, and changing the world for children with autism. When not working, Andi enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, their three adult children (when they are home), and their pups.

Cynthia Owens, M.S., BCBA

Vice President of Clinical Services

As Vice President of Clinical Services at BlueSprig, Cynthia Owens is responsible for supporting and upholding high-quality standards of care for the clients and families we serve. Through collaboration and teamwork across departments, Cynthia supports alignment with the organization’s mission and values to produce meaningful client outcomes.

Cynthia earned her Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis from California State University, Stanislaus. She began her career supporting clients through ABA treatment more than 20 years ago. Cynthia has delivered presentations and workshops at state, national, and international conferences on topics such as social skills, early intervention, staff training, and caregiver collaboration. Prior to joining BlueSprig, Cynthia led a curriculum development team and regularly worked with a group of subject matter experts to support the development of training modules, goal banks, caregiver engagement activities, and other resources to assist clinicians in their work to maximize treatment outcomes.

Cynthia is passionate about building resources to support high-quality treatment for clients across their lifespan. She is equally passionate about training and mentoring new clinicians in the field. Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family in her home state of California.

Kelly Bernard, M.Ed., BCBA, LABA

Vice President of Clinical Services

As Vice President of Clinical Services at BlueSprig, Kelly Bernard is responsible for ensuring high-quality services for our clients and families by collaborating with the clinical and operations team to design, execute, train, and evaluate strategic clinical initiatives. Kelly brings over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents across various settings including, early intervention, school, in-home, community, and center-based programs.

Kelly has been with Florida Autism Center and BlueSprig since 2018 as a Center Director and Associate Vice President of Clinical Services. She was awarded the 2019 Center of the Year for providing high-quality ABA services, staff training, and exceeding operational benchmarks. Before joining BlueSprig, Kelly worked as Clinical Supervisor and ABA staff trainer. Kelly worked in the public school system as a behavior specialist for nine years, providing ABA services to preschool and middle school students.

Kelly received her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Ashford University and Master’s in Special Education with a graduate-level certificate in ABA from Fitchburg State College. Kelly lives in Florida with her husband, Scott, two daughters, and three small crazy dogs. She loves being with her family, going to the theater, spending time at the beach, and traveling.

Kim Urwiler

Vice President of Compliance

As Vice President of Compliance, Kim is primarily responsible for overseeing compliance within BlueSprig and ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. The VPC is responsible for establishing standards and collaborating across departments to implement procedures and compliance programs throughout the organization that are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations and providing guidance, advice, and training on compliance issues. Kim has more than 25 years of behavioral health experience driving transformational change.

Kim was the COO for Magellan Healthcare and Acadia Healthcare prior to her role as VP of Compliance for BlueSprig. Kim is passionate about developing strategies and business operations that drive results. She is an energetic, results-driven individual with demonstrated ability to fortify teams and increase effectiveness and productivity. Her expertise includes being well-versed in the complete spectrum of behavioral health care management functions including, managed care operations, financial analysis, risk management, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and utilization management. She also has clinical operations leadership experience in settings ranging from a psychiatric hospital to the development of small provider groups.

Kim resides with her family in Austin Tx and enjoys traveling and cheering on her sons at basketball and football games.

Ashley Fuhrman, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Senior Vice President of Research and Innovation

Dr. Ashley Fuhrman serves as the Senior Vice President of Research and Innovation at BlueSprig. In this role, she spearheads the development, implementation, and expansion of innovative clinical programs and services. She focuses on leveraging and contributing to cutting-edge research and emerging technologies to monitor, highlight, and improve patient outcomes. She is responsible for the oversight and growth of specialty clinic service offerings and enjoys working collaboratively to best serve patients. One of her primary passions is to increase access to high-quality severe behavior services. Her clinical and research interests involve improving existing assessment and treatment procedures as well as developing and improving clinician training surrounding the delivery of high-quality services.

Dr. Fuhrman received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, a Master of Arts in applied behavior analysis from the University of Nebraska Omaha, and her Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Fuhrman worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Rutgers University Center for Autism Research, Education, and Services.

She has published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, is an Associate Editor for Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice, on the board of editors for The Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Analysis in Practice and has served on the board of editors for the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior.

Ashley has a passion for evidence-based practice and expanding access to high-quality, specialized care. Ashley resides in Texas and, when not working, enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.

Carmen Butler

Vice President of Legal Affairs

As Vice President of Legal Affairs for BlueSprig, Carmen Butler provides legal counsel and support to members of the BlueSprig team, allowing them to focus on their mission of changing the world for children with autism. She is dedicated to providing ethical and quality legal and risk management support. Responsibilities for this role include a wide range of legal duties, including, but not limited to, identifying and interpreting laws affecting the organization (such as employment law, corporate law, HIPAA and privacy law, etc.), legal drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal forms, managing litigation and potential liability issues, and advising team members regarding a broad spectrum of legal matters. Carmen brings almost twenty years of legal experience and ten years of experience providing in-house legal support for healthcare companies.

Carmen received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Duke University and her law degree from Harvard Law School. Prior to joining BlueSprig in 2020, Carmen gained experience in the legal department of a national pediatric home health company. She has also worked in human resources for the Georgia Institute of Technology, where then-Vice President Joe Biden’s office recognized her for her work in Title IX. She started her legal career by providing legal representation for several companies while working as an associate for law firms. Carmen lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her two teenage sons. She is passionate about soccer and served as a Board Member of Soccer in the Streets, a non-profit that uses soccer to provide opportunities to youth in underserved communities. She also serves on the Board of Camp Trach Me Away, a non-profit that provides a week-long overnight camp experience for kids with tracheostomies and provides support year-round for their families.

Colin McKeon

Vice President of Real Estate and Development

As Vice President of Real Estate and Development of BlueSprig, Colin McKeon is responsible for all the company’s real estate, construction, and facilities activities. Colin brings over twenty-five years of experience leading commercial real estate and development. His past opportunities include:

Leading the regional Development Department for one of the industry-leading supermarket chains.
Being an Officer of a Fortune 500 company for over 12 years.
Being a Team Leader for a 2-billion-dollar acquisition.

Colin received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rowan University, where he was Class President and the Robinson Senior Leadership Award winner. Before joining BlueSprig, Colin worked in the supermarket industry as a real estate developer. He also owned his real estate services firm for over eight years.

Colin lives in Atascocita, Texas, with his wife Pamela and has three children. Colin is passionate about sports and golf.

Jeanine Tanz, PhD, BCBA-D

Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management

As Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management at BlueSprig, Jeanine Tanz is responsible for the strategic execution and performance of all Revenue Cycle Management functions, including billing, accounts receivable, authorization, benefits verification, client financial services, and quality assurance. Jeanine brings over twenty-five years of experience leading teams to operate and perform at peak levels resulting in successful outcomes. Her past opportunities have provided her with expertise in operations, finance, and clinical excellence.

Jeanine received her Doctorate in Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. She also obtained her dual master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Organization Behavior Management from the same university. Before joining BlueSprig, Jeanine worked in the Real Estate industry for over sixteen years overseeing the operations of over ten thousand units across several states. She currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at a family-owned Real Estate company in Brevard County. In addition to her Doctorate, Jeanine holds a CPM® designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, a Florida CAM license, and a Florida Real Estate Brokers License. Jeanine ranked in The Top 300 Brevard Realtors in 2022, at #133.

Located in Melbourne, Florida, Jeanine is passionate about traveling with her amazing husband and two beautiful children and exploring all that life has to offer. In her free time, Jeanine enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and planning her next adventure.

Sharyn Kerr, PhD, MBA, BCBA-D

Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer of BlueSprig, Dr. Sharyn Kerr is responsible for the vision of the organization and oversees a dynamic team of professionals who ensure this vision is executed with the highest level of compassionate care, compliance, and exceptional quality. Sharyn brings over 25 years of international experience in academic institutions and large, multi-site organizations in autism and ABA. Before joining BlueSprig, Sharyn served as Chief Operating Officer at ACES, where she was responsible for the organization’s growth and daily operations.

Sharyn has earned academic scholarships, honors, and multiple degrees from one of Australia’s elite and internationally recognized research universities. As a licensed child psychologist with a BCBA-D and an MBA, she has a unique understanding of designing and implementing clinically excellent treatment programs with operational efficiency.

Sharyn is also a passionate educator, participating in the education of a new generation of BCBAs by teaching ethics classes at several post-graduate academic institutions. She also enjoys philanthropic activities, serving on the board of multiple international schools where she lends her corporate and educational experience to the non-profit education sector. When not working, Sharyn enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in southern California.

Tiffanie Moore, MA, NCSP, BCBA, LBA

Chief Clinical Officer

As Chief Clinical Officer at BlueSprig, Tiffanie Moore is responsible for the quality of clinical services, including developing, promoting, facilitating, and evaluating clinical standards and operating procedures.

Tiffanie graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2012. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Licensed Behavior Analyst in Oklahoma. Tiffanie brings 12 years of behavior analytic experience. She has provided ABA across various settings, including community, home, clinic, residential, private, and public school. She is especially interested in assessment, equivalence-based instruction, and teaching fluency.

Currently, Tiffanie is Member at Large for the Oklahoma Association of Behavior Analysis, where she previously served as President. She has published work aimed at incorporating ACT and Activity-Based Instruction into telehealth-based family guidance. She has experience working as an adjunct professor, having taught several semesters of the BACB course sequence at the University of Central Oklahoma. Tiffanie lives in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where she enjoys advocacy, reading, travel, and spending time with her family and pets.

Amanda Fullbright, MEd., BCBA, LBA

Senior Vice President of Learning and Performance Development

Amanda Fullbright is the Senior Vice President of Learning and Performance Development for Blue Sprig Pediatrics, where the department has earned international accreditation from the Accrediting Alliance for Training and Development (AATD), the 2022 Learning in Practice Silver Award from the Chief Learning Officer organization, and the 2023 Training Apex Award under her leadership. Amanda earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Texas. She is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in multiple states, and a Performance Thinking® Practitioner. Amanda’s areas of specialty are staff training, adult learning, performance improvement, and autism intervention.

Amy Smith, MBA, BSN, CAPM

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations with BlueSprig, Amy Smith is responsible for all aspects of center operations and ensuring operational and clinical excellence. Amy brings 15 years of clinical and business management experience across multiple healthcare settings and specialties. Beginning her career as an ICU Nurse, Amy gained a deep understanding of the healthcare delivery system. This valuable experience and knowledge of clinical and business operations have allowed Amy to successfully lead multi-disciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals while emphasizing high-quality care.

Amy has leadership experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Inpatient Acute Care, and Physician Practice Management. She has led integrations, large-scale real estate renovations, and acquisition projects. Amy has experience expanding and improving service lines for medical and surgical services to promote organic growth and increase patient access to high-quality care.

Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. Amy was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, Alpha Chi, and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Societies. Amy also gained Project Management, CAPM certification through Project Management Institute.

A New Orleans native, Amy now calls Houston, Texas, home. Amy’s passions include yoga, traveling, and spending time with her husband, children, and French Bulldog.

Jessica Cloutier, MS, BCBA

Senior Vice President of Operations Support

As Senior Vice President of Operations Support, Jessica Cloutier supports operational and strategic needs of the organization and de novo expansion efforts while maintaining a focus on delivering quality service and an excellent client experience. Jessica reports to the Chief Clinical and Administrative Officer and works closely with the Vice Presidents of Operations and other departments within the organization to ensure smooth operations.

As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, Jessica brings over 15 years of experience in growing and developing systems to support in home and center based services, focusing on expanding access to services. She received a bachelors in Psychology from Stetson University and a masters degree in Counseling with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern. Jessica is located in Deltona, Florida with her husband Matt and her two children.

Runako Teri-Savage, MSN, RN, CPN

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations at BlueSprig, Runako Teri-Savage is responsible for executing strategic growth, tactical support, and efficient delivery of client services within her area. Runako brings 20 years of health care experience, focusing on care in the pediatric community. She has experience leading operations in medical day treatment clinics, school health services, and the pediatric home health space.

Runako has been with BlueSprig since 2019, guiding daily operations and accomplishing strategic initiatives as Director of Operations. Prior to BlueSprig, she served as Area Clinical Director and Area Director of Operations, where she led the Florida and Louisiana regions in the care of medically fragile children and adults. As a Registered Nurse, Runako values the integral balance between operational performance, clinical quality, and service excellence. She is passionate about growing and developing her team and believes in creating a culture where continuous process improvement is the foundation for area expansion.

Runako earned her nursing degree from Advent Health University and holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Executive Leadership from Chamberlain University. She is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse and a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International – Honor Society of Nursing and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Runako lives in Central Florida with her husband, two boys, and Rhodesian Ridgeback.
