ABA Therapy for Older Children and Teens with Autism
At BlueSprig, families begin services in our Early Intervention programs: Sprouts (ages 0–4) and Sprigs (ages 4–6). As they grow, some children need continued clinical support, so they stay enrolled at BlueSprig and move up into our after-school Branching Out programs: Explorers (ages 7–12) and Trailblazers (ages 13–18). This ensures ABA therapy evolves to support children and teens as they grow.

ABA Therapy for Teens and Children: Explorers and Trailblazers Programs
Our ABA therapy programs for teens and preteens are designed to support children ages 7 to 18 on the autism spectrum, helping them develop essential life skills, build social connections, and gain independence as they navigate the unique challenges of childhood and adolescence.
Branching Out: Explorers
Ages 7-12
Early adolescence and the beginning of puberty can be a challenging time for all children, including those on the autism spectrum, making extra support critical. Our Branching Out: Explorers program is designed specifically for kids ages 7–12 to build foundational social and life skills.
Our personalized treatment plans emphasize:
- Making friends
- Sportsmanship
- Personal hygiene
- Communication and early executive functioning
Through interactive learning and confidence-building activities, children gain the skills needed to navigate early adolescence successfully.
Branching Out: Trailblazers
Ages 13-18
Our ABA therapy for teens supports adolescents through high school and prepares them for adulthood, too. The Branching Out: Trailblazers program focuses on social skills, life skills, and transition planning using evidence-based ABA therapy practices.
Teens and their families work with expert clinicians to enhance independence, strengthen social connections, and build the skills needed for future success. This program provides ABA therapy for teenagers and ABA therapy for high school students in a structured, supportive environment.
