TJ Schulz is the esteemed Clinical Director at the Florida Autism Center in Westchase, FL, a role he stepped into in January 2020 after rapidly progressing through positions since joining the Florida Autism Center. His journey began as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at the Lutz center, quickly advancing to a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) in April 2019, and achieving his Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials by August 2019. TJ’s educational background is impressive, holding a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis, alongside a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis, both from the University of South Florida. Additionally, he has a graduate certificate in Positive Behavior Support, showcasing his commitment to continual learning and professional development.

With specialized expertise in early intervention, staff training, functional communication training, selective eating, and the treatment of severe interfering behaviors, TJ’s client care philosophy emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. He advocates for building strong, trustful relationships with children and their families, tailoring interventions to their unique needs to promote empowerment and resilience. His professional contributions are notable; he has presented at both the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis conference and the Association for Behavior Analysis International conference, and published his thesis in the Journal of Behavioral Education.

Beyond his professional life, TJ finds joy in spending time with his mini goldendoodle, Finn, indulging in his love for reading, and exploring the vibrant scene of Tampa Bay, reflecting a well-rounded personality with a passion for both his work and personal life.
