About

Shawn Dillard serves as the Multi-site Center Administrator at the Florida Autism Center in both Apopka and Mount Dora locations. Holding a Master in Developmental Disabilities with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Nova Southeastern University, Shawn has been enriching the field with her operational and leadership expertise for over a decade. Alongside maintaining her credentials as a Registered Behavior Technician, she holds a Florida teacher certification for ESE K-12 with an ASD endorsement and PreK-3, demonstrating her broad qualification to contribute to the educational and developmental needs of children. Shawn is renowned for her extensive experience in working across diverse cultures and has provided effective therapy throughout the state of Florida. Her client care philosophy is inspired by Stacia Tauscher’s words, We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that they are someone today, seeing each child with autism as a unique superhero in their own right. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Shawn is actively involved in community engagement, volunteering, and even owns a childcare center. On a personal note, she finds joy in meditation, reading self-help books, music and dancing, and treasures the time spent with her family and friends. As a mother to three adult children and grandmother to four grandchildren, Shawn embraces a full and enriching personal life that complements her professional endeavors.
