Samantha Brooks, MA, LPC, BCBA, LBA, serves as the Clinical Director at the Abilene, TX center, bringing a multifaceted background in psychology and behavior analysis to her role. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Family Psychology, Samantha is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Behavior Analyst, further enriched by her Applied Behavior Analysis certification from UNT. Her professional journey, spanning roughly 15 years, is distinguished by expertise in early learning, managing challenging behavior, and understanding behavior functions. Samantha’s client care philosophy centers around meeting clients where they are and infusing sessions with fun, fostering an environment conducive to growth and learning.
Samantha’s commitment extends beyond the clinic to the community, where she and her husband co-founded the Abilene Select AAU basketball program in 2005. This endeavor has flourished, assisting over 200 young athletes annually, with many securing college scholarships. Her community engagement also includes collaborations with King David’s Kids, YWCA, and New Horizons, and professional contributions as a member of the Texas Association for Behavior Analysts, alongside efforts to establish a local chapter for BCBAs.
A former all-state high school basketball player, Samantha’s passion for basketball has evolved into a personal interest, supporting her husband’s team, the Abilene Christian Panthers, and engaging in team-building activities. Whether backing her husband’s coaching endeavors or fostering team spirit, Samantha’s life reflects a profound blend of professional dedication and community involvement, underscored by her love for the sport.
