Miranda Illius is the Clinical Director at BlueSprig in Westlake, OH center, where she leverages her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Master’s in Education with a focus in applied behavior analysis. Her areas of expertise include developing a strong rapport with clients and their families, cultivating a positive work environment for staff, responding effectively to maladaptive behavior, teaching functional communication, advocating for families, and maintaining flexibility in day-to-day tasks. Miranda believes strongly in a client care philosophy that emphasizes child-led approaches, collaboration with all stakeholders, and adaptability to meet each client’s individual needs.

Professionally, Miranda is actively involved with several organizations that reflect her dedication to the community, including Gigi’s Playhouse, the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio, and Autism Speaks’ Cleveland walk. She also supports local family and sensory-friendly events, particularly at Crocker Park, demonstrating her commitment to accessible community involvement.

On a personal level, Miranda is a mother to a 3.5-year-old daughter, Emma, who has Down Syndrome, an experience that enriches her professional work and advocacy. She enjoys staying active through biking, running, or attending fitness classes and indulges her foodie passions by cooking and exploring new restaurants. Despite her busy schedule, she also values the simple pleasures of traveling and relaxing at home.
