Alyssa Britz

About

Alyssa has been changing the world for children with autism since 2007. Her journey began as a special education student volunteer, where she helped kids with autism connect with peers in her school. She also volunteered her time decorating and planning special education events for her middle school and high school. In 2014, she became a technician and provided in -home support to teenagers and families, where she focused on helping teenagers learn adaptive living skills. She met her first BCBA as an in-home technician and that triggered her career change from culinary arts to applied behavior analysis. She received her undergraduate and master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas. During her programs, she maintained her RBT credential and continued to provide early intervention and adolescent ABA services to children in a clinical setting.

Alyssa joins the BlueSprig team with a wide array of experiences. Her special interests in ABA include assessment, increasing functional alternative behaviors in order to reduce behaviors that interfere with learning and quality of life, and increasing adaptive living skills so that children and their families are prepared for adulthood.

In her free time, Alyssa loves to cook and go hiking. She is also a cat mom and is the “crazy” aunt at all of her nieces’ and nephews’ sporting and school events. She is also an avid anime and video game enthusiast.
