1 in 44 children is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) each year in the United States. Throughout the month of April many organizations, including BlueSprig, will be celebrating Autism Acceptance and Awareness month to provide education in communities as well as events that are inclusive for all. Autism Celebration Day

The BlueSprig Austin North center is partnering with the Autism Society of Texas to host an Autism Celebration Day at their center! The Autism Society of Texas has a mission to change lives by connecting families and individuals to community resources and support throughout the state of Texas. It is the partnership of Autism Society Network and the BlueSprig Austin North team that implements the change and support to the ASD community. This is a free event with food trucks, games, and sensory friendly activities for the entire family to enjoy. Texas Autism Walk and Community Resource Fair
Saturday April 24, 2022 from 9 am- 12 pm
Join the Autism Society of Texas as they commence their 14th Annual Texas Autism Walk. The 1- mile walk on the trails at Dreamland in Dripping Springs will give participants the opportunity to run, walk or bike! Registration is open and includes an event t-shirt, a chance to earn incentives, snacks and water and access to the community resource fair. The resource fair will feature businesses and community partners with fun games and activities for everyone to enjoy. Fun water activities will be available as access to the Dreamland Splashpad and playscape are open during the event. VELA’s Open House

To observe Autism Acceptance Month, VELA, a non-profit organization in Austin, TX invites the local community to join them for an open house and a special look at their Autism Course. VELA partners will be present, along with local sponsors, donors and VELA graduates.
