An exciting update on ABA insurance coverage in Ohio

Just in time to elect benefits for 2018, Ohio’s autism experts at Trumpet Behavioral Health have important information to share about ABA insurance coverage in Ohio. The state of Ohio passed a law requiring applied behavior analysis or ABA. Under this law, children diagnosed with autism have a covered benefit provided by commercial insurance. This change will benefit both children and their families.

The benefits of ABA insurance coverage

This new law requires that ABA insurance coverage be an offering for families in Ohio who receive health insurance from their employers. With this change, children with autism will have greater access to ABA therapy and related services. Our Ohio autism experts use evidence-based ABA therapy to help children learn new behaviors and experience positive changes in behavior. Research shows that ABA helps children with autism develop new behaviors that replace their challenging behaviors.
