How We Support Military Families

  • Care Network Across 19 States

Military families shouldn’t have to restart every time duty calls. When you relocate, our team transfers your child’s documentation, treatment goals, and clinical notes, so the team at your new BlueSprig center already knows your child before you walk in the door.

  • TRICARE Insurance Experts

We specialize in TRICARE. Our dedicated team helps you understand your benefits, navigate authorization steps, manage documentation, and handle transitions between bases and regions. We minimize the administrative burden so you can focus on your child.

  • Parent Education & Family Coaching

At BlueSprig, we believe in supporting your whole family. While your child is enrolled, we offer resources to help parents learn behavior strategies, communication support, and how to reinforce progress at home, regardless of life changes or relocations.

  • Consistency in Times of Change

Military families experience frequent  transitions.Children regularly face new cities, new schedules, and new environments. ABA therapy at BlueSprig gives your child a foundation of adaptability, regulation, and coping skills that support their resilience.

3 Steps to Getting Started with BlueSprig

1

Find Your Center and Submit Our Form

Start by finding your center and using our simple form to tell us about your child. We gather your child’s insurance and diagnosis information, then help guide you through TRICARE onboarding.

2

Personalized Assessment and Care Planning

After coverage and diagnosis are confirmed, our clinicians will meet you and your child. We’ll observe their behavior, communication, and developmental skills to build a customized ABA plan designed specifically for their unique strengths and needs.

3

Begin Services With Ongoing Support

Your child begins sessions with a dedicated therapy team. We provide regular progress updates, parent coaching, and collaborative goal setting. As your child grows, their therapy plan evolves with them, and if life takes you to a new state, we ensure their care continues seamlessly.

Autism Care Demonstration (ACD) Program

TRICARE’s Autism Care Demonstration (ACD) program helps military families access therapeutic support like ABA. Through this program, your family is connected with an Autism Services Navigator (ASN) who will be your advocate and guide you through the process of getting ABA therapy covered by TRICARE.

If your child received their autism diagnosis after October 1, 2021, they have been assigned an ASN. If your child was diagnosed before then, or if they have not yet been diagnosed, reach out to your local BlueSprig team, who can provide assistance with understanding your TRICARE benefits or connect you with diagnosis resources in your area.

In addition to your ASN, BlueSprig will also work with you to get started. Our team follows all TRICARE requirements as well as state laws and regulations. We’ll also help you with paperwork for any assessments or approvals your child needs.

Continuity & Coordination of Care

We understand that military families may often have to move to a new location. With that in mind, our teams are here to help identify support networks, physicians, and more, while supporting any changes in station that may occur during enrollment.

At Bluesprig, we make coordination of care a priority, so we coordinate with your child’s other service providers for better outcomes.

Your family’s ASN will assist in scheduling meetings between all of your child’s providers. If you do not have an ASN, BlueSprig  will work with the providers directly to arrange a meeting to increase interdisciplinary support.

TRICARE and BlueSprig value parent involvement in their child’s services and recognize the impact of parents who are part of the overall treatment team. We will work closely with each child’s family to support that child’s growth while also aligning with TRICARE’s requirements for service delivery and parent participation.
