Tori Phelps, MA, BCBA, is a dedicated Center Director at Florida Autism Center in North Port with a passion for improving the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. She graduated magna cum laude from Purdue University in 2015, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, where her commitment to serving others first took root.
Driven by a desire to specialize further in supporting individuals with ASD, Tori pursued advanced studies at Ball State University, completing her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with an Emphasis in Autism in 2017. This educational journey equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of behavioral principles and interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals on the autism spectrum.
In 2018, Tori achieved certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), marking a significant milestone in her career. With her expertise, she has made a meaningful impact in various settings, including homes, communities, centers, and schools. Her hands-on experience has allowed her to develop a nuanced approach to behavior analysis, emphasizing collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams to foster positive outcomes.
Recognized for her leadership abilities and clinical acumen, Tori was appointed as Center Director in 2021, where she continues to lead with compassion and dedication. In this role, she oversees program development, staff training, and ensures the delivery of high-quality services that uphold the highest standards of care.
Beyond her clinical practice, Tori is also a certified Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) instructor, further demonstrating her commitment to enhancing safety and promoting effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors. Her multifaceted expertise and unwavering dedication make her a valuable asset to the field of applied behavior analysis. Tori also has a passion for animals rescue, and has a dog, two cats, and three sugar gliders at home. Tori loves traveling, going to concerts, reading, and playing piano.
