Behavior Technician
Start your career at BlueSprig by applying to our open behavior technician and registered behavior technician positions.
What is a behavior technician?
Behavior Technicians (BTs) at BlueSprig provide individualized ABA therapy services to children with autism in their homes, schools, daycares, or at a BlueSprig Center.
Behavior Technician is an entry-level position. BTs work closely with clients, providing instruction and implementing behavior reduction protocols based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) share many of the same responsibilities, but carry an additional professional certification.
Through our training courses and mentorship, BTs gain the knowledge to help children learn and implement necessary skills. BlueSprig BTs and RBTs work with clients in many areas, including social skills, play skills, manners, personal care, safety skills, life skills, and more!
Paid Training and Support
In the role of a Behavior Technician, you will receive paid training and support as you learn the basics of ABA therapy and have the opportunity to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
Our dedicated Learning and Performance Development (LPD) Department empowers team members at every level of our organization by fostering an innovative learning culture informed by science. At BlueSprig, we invest time and resources so that new employees have a successful onboarding experience, learning about their roles and responsibilities while being introduced to BlueSprig’s values and culture.
During training, participants will follow online modules, participate in live reviews of the material, and have hands-on practice with clients with the goal of passing the RBT exam. The RBT certification process takes roughly 85 hours. We also make our library of resources available to employees who want to refine their proficiencies or gain new skills.
