Autism Acceptance & Awareness Month Events in Waco, Texas

April is Autism Acceptance & Awareness Month! Here at BlueSprig, we celebrate our clients, families, and community partners all month long. As an ABA provider, it is imperative that we bring acceptance, awareness and education into our communities. Our local teams collaborate with community partners to raise awareness by providing fun, family-friendly events! Are you looking for an event to participate in or sponsor to celebrate? Here’s a few events planned throughout the month of April that you can participate in!

Second Annual Charity Golf Scramble

Saturday April 30, 2022 10:00 AM

The Waco Center Team is partnering with The Heart of Texas Autism Network for their 2nd annual Golf Scramble. The Heart of Texas Autism Network is on a mission to further the goals of those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), so they can gain new skills, reach their full potential and fully participate in their communities. Registration is currently open and will close on April 30th. The golf scramble will be held at the Lake Waco Golf Course. Check-in begins on the day of the event at 9:00 a.m. and shotgun will begin shortly after at 10:00 a.m. If you are unable to participate, we also encourage you to sponsor the event, knowing that your donation will go towards an amazing cause! 2022 Run for Autism and Fun Walk

Saturday April 2, 2022 8:00AM

The Heart of Texas Autism Network (HOTAN) will kick off World Autism Day on April 2nd with their annual Run for Autism 5K/ Fun Walk for Autism 1K. HOTAN in collaboration with Pro- Fit Race timing will be raising funds to further support the various programs and activities to assist in the progress and development for those with ASD. We encourage each of our clients and those who are diagnosed with ASD to share their many talents and skills with their communities. The Run/ Walk is a family- friendly event with games, activities, music and refreshments for all to enjoy.
